Continuing our Cookbook dinner series, we are celebrating ‘Rosa’s Farm’.

Italian-born Melbourne chef Rosa Mitchell and her husband Colin bought their farm at Yandoit in Central Victoria in the late 1980s. They acquired 20 acres of cleared land running up a volcanic hill, a few fruit trees and a dilapidated milking shed. The farm, which has expanded over the years, has always been a special haven for Rosa and her family, a place for good food and wine and celebratory meals. In this book she shares recipes for her favourite Italian dishes which are simple, traditional, lovingly prepared and utterly authentic.

During this special event, Rosa will be cooking a selection of recipes from this book for you to enjoy.

With a focus on a variety of delicious soups, slow cooks, and meals you can leave bubbling and braising away, this is a class you don't want to miss!

Eat and Drink

Enjoy a special drink by Dave to start the cooking class. The bar will then be available for further purchases of wine and beer during the day.

As usual, at the conclusion of the demonstration, Rosa will serve up a feast of some of the dishes she showed. Watch, learn and, most importantly, sample all of Rosa’s delicious dishes!

Take-home

Take Rosa’s fact sheets and recipes home with you so you can recreate all the dishes again. You’ll also have a goodie bag specially made by Rosa for you.

TICKET CONDITIONS

Price: $135 per person

To place your booking credit card details will be recorded. Nothing will be charged to this card at this stage. If you do cancel your ticket within 7 days of the event date, 50% of the ticket price will be charged to your card. Managers reserve the right to approve moving your booking to another date on a case by case basis.

Dietary requirements are required 14 days prior to the event date, we will attempt to cater for all requirements. The event will be confirmed 14 days prior to the date, if the event is cancelled a full refund will be made.

Rosa's Canteen will transform and transport you to a night at the movies in Italy. It’s a two-for-one – dinner and a movie, with a film plucked from Italy accompanied by a menu inspired by the same movie, interpreted by Rosa. The perfect date night!

Rosa presents the ultimate date night. Merchant is hosting a fundraising dinner by four great Italian chefs to help those affected by the recent earthquake in Amatrice. Rosa Mitchell (Rosa's Canteen), Guy Grossi (Grossi Florentino), Massimo Mele (Catering by Massimo), Johnny Di Francesco (400 Gradi) will be presenting four courses including antipasto, pasta, main and dessert.
